Special New Uniforms

Against Minnesota, the Buckeye football program celebrated the 55th anniversary of its 1954 undefeated national championship team.  OSU will honor this team once more in the form of one-time special uniform to be worn against Michigan on Nov. 21.

The idea stemmed from a visit Ohio State made to Nike's Rivalry uniform program this past spring.  "They offered us a chance to try a new uniform product featuring cutting-edge fabrics and technology," said OSU Director of Athletics Gene Smith.

Fans can see these special uniforms for the first time on Sunday, Nov. 15 when photos of the final product will be shared on OhioStateBuckeyes.com.  The same uniforms will be on sale in the official Team Shop in the Schottenstein Center that week before the Buckeyes wear them in Ann Arbor.
